Yarns of the East or ‘yote.’ in short is the result of an endeavor to unite all those involved in the ravelled yet exquisite art of Rug Making.
Our production facility has existed since 1969, working closely with weavers across India. Our rug production regions boast centuries of rug making history and knowledge that has been handed down for generations, whilst utilising their natural resources for the rug making process.
Apart from India, yote. has weavers from other eastern parts of the world i.e. Nepal, Iran & Afghanistan. The aim is to unite artisans from parts of these world who’s culture and diversity in craftsmanship is often overshadowed or exploited.
The rugs that represent these soulful visuals will be created in the East (hence the name – Yarns of the East)

Getting to know and interact with inspiring, vivid, and out-of-the box groups of designers and their creations from various aspects of our work was the kick start.
The motivation to build a platform for individual artists to showcase their work, alongside promoting and shedding light on rural artisans and their craft is the goal that drives us.
yote. will thrive to be the bridge that brings forth exquisite handcrafted rugs from South Asia to your cherished spaces.
